Calculation method for short-term emissions for the nuclear-power-plant remote monitoring system - meteorological model for diffusion calculation

This model is to interpolate and extrapolate the available meteorological measurement data within remote monitoring. The integration of the boundary layer model with an automatic remote monitoring system and its connection to a set of relevant data is determined by the quantity of data availabe on site. Application of this model is of a particular importance in the case of an actual incident for forecasting the wind field obtaining throughout the next couple of hours. This also requires to forecast the marginal values of the model (geostrophic wind, temperature at ground level). The large-area numerical forecasts by the German Meteorological Service may be used to derive the marginal values of the boundary layer model - after corresponding personal checking and correction, if required.
