Use of computers for the collection and processing of eddy current signals in inspections of heat exchange tubes of nuclear power plant steam generators

The application of the eddy current method to the inspection of steam generator heat transfer tubes at nuclear power plants is discussed. Attention is paid to the collection and processing of information about the condition of the material inspected, which, owing to the fact that it is carried by electric signals, can be recorded reliably. A program package for partial automation of the evaluation of the data measured is described. (Z.M.)
