Infrared emissivities of H2 and HD
Creators
Description
The emissivities in the pure rotational lines of H1 and HD are calculated, and it is suggested that the lines offer a useful means of measuring the interstellar deuterium abundance. The predicted fluxes from the molecular cloud near Sgr B2 seem within the capabilities of present detectors, provided that adequate resolution can be achieved.
