Description
Nonrelativistic distorted-wave Born approximation predictions for polarized proton elastic scattering from polarized 13C are discussed and compared with data. Effects due to Pauli blocking, binding potentials in intermediate states, and shell-model configuration mixing are studied. The changes in the predicted polarized target spin observables are small at forward angles but can be significant at larger scattering angles
