The Sr-90 and Sr-89 concentrations in the environment samples from the territory of Slovenia
Description
The Sr-90 and Sr-89 concentrations in different environmental samples from the territory of Slovenia were measured. The concentrations in plants increased considerably after the Chernobyl accident, mainly due to direct absorption of isotopes through the leaves. In milk the highest radiostrontium concentration of 29Bq/1 was observed in May. The activity of underground waters was not changed noticeably. As for soil the increased activity was ascribed mostly to Sr-89. (author) 5 refs.; 1 tab
