Description
Elastic and inelastic scattering of 12C from 19F leading to the 5/2+(0.197 MeV), 3/2+(1.554 MeV) and 9/2+(2.780 MeV) states in 19F, and 2+(4.43 MeV) state in 12C were studied at Elab(12C)=30, 40, 50 and 60 MeV. The observed phase anomaly between the angular distributions of elastic and inelastic scattering are reproduced by a coupled channel calculation with a target spin-orbit force of negative sign.
