Description
The Ln2S3-Cr2S3(Ln-Nd, Gd, Dy, Y) systems which are quasibinary sections of La-Cr-S ternary systems have been studied. The CrGdS3, CrTmS3, CrDyS3, CrErS3, CrYlS3, CrGdSe3 and CrDySe3 monocrystals have been grown using the method of chemical transport reactions. These compounds are crystallized in a rhombic crystallographic system; periods of their crystal lattice are calculated. The character of the CrLn2X4 type compound formation (where Ln-lantanoid from La3 to Lu, X-S, Se) has been studied. CrLa2S4, CrPr2S4, CrEr2S4, CrPr2Se4, CrNd2Se4, CrSm2Se4, CrGd2Se4, CrY2Se4, CrTb2Se4 monocrystals with monoclinic lattice have been obtained by the method of chemical transport reactions. Investigations of electrophysical thermal and magnetic properties of compounds of CrLnX3 and CrLn2X4 types showed that these compounds were semiconductors
