Responding to the oil counter-shock: the three-step strategy implemented by oil majors - debt reduction, divestment and diversification
Description
Due to low oil prices, lack of demand and pressure from shareholders, oil companies are speeding up changes to their economic model. Penalized by decreasing revenues and increasing debt, majors have begun to drastically reduce their investments, refocus on more profitable activity segments, and expand their activities to new energy sources.
