General features of temperature and pressure dependences of partial molar volumes of electrolytes in aqueous solutions in the light of the Tamman-Gilson rule

Description
Using approach based on Tamman-Gibson rule one managed for the first time explain baric dependence of partial molar volumes of electrolytes in aqueous solutions (V-bar2) within wide concentration range including maximums at V-bar2-p dependence and inversion (from plus to minus) of the sign of partial isothermal molar compressibility (δV-bar2)/δp)T of some electrolytes at increase of solution concentration. Conclusions derived from the given approach and from electrostatical model are compared. 34 refs., 1 fig., 2 tabs
