Surveillance of part-length shield assemblies and axially zoned fuel in H.B. Robinson Unit 2 Cycle 10
Description
Part-length Shield Assemblies and natural urania blanketed fuel installed in H.B. Robinson Unit 2, Cyle 10, required the development of 3-D analytic factors to process flux maps. The procedure used a combination of 2-D fine mesh and 3-D nodal simulator calculations to derive the factors. With care in application, the procedure proved adequate for monitoring the Cycle 10 core; however, the need for developing more accurate 3-D methods for highly segmented PWR cores was indicated
