1160 MW turboset for 'Donald C. Cook' nuclear power plant of AEP now in service

Description

The initial start-up of the first half-speed 1100 MW turboset took place in March 1978. The turboset features a number of technical innovations. Thanks to extensive factory tests and special measurements on components and systems, no difficulty was experienced with the commissioning. (Auth.)
