Superconducting acceleration system for LEP
Description
The present article describes the superconducting rf acceleration system for the Large Electron Positron Collider (LEP), which is designed to obtain an energy of 100 GeV per beam. Special items are: the injector, the underground civil engineering, magnet and vacuum systems, the copper cavities of the rf system, a superconducting rf system, total power, circumferential voltages and energies.
