Description

Galvanomagnetic properties of rhenium single crystals with residual resistance ratios up to 38 000 were investigated in the temperature range 4.2 to 273.2 K and in magnetic fields up to 22 kG. A sign inversion and nonmonotonic temperature dependence of the Hall coefficient Rsub(H)(T) have been observed. It is suggested that the observed sign inversion and the minimum in Rsub(H)(T) dependence for H parallel <0001> are due to the phonon-induced electron transition between the hole sheets L7h and due to a change over from the low to high magnetic field regime. The temperature dependence of the conductivity in magnetic field for H parallel <0001>5σsub(Hi)(T) approximately T4 is observed at T<20 K
