More than 1/3 of all medical diagnoses in the FRG are presently being made under application of ionising rays. With regard to radiation protection, medical check-ups in the field of occupational diseases, development diseases, infectional diseases, and tumour diagnostics are discussed. (VJ)

Ueber 1/3 aller medizinischen Diagnosen werden derzeit in der BRD mittels Anwendung ionisierender Strahlen durchgefuehrt. Unter dem Gesichtspunkt des Strahlenschutzes werden Vorsorgeuntersuchungen auf dem Gebiet der Berufserkrankungen, Entwicklungskrankheiten, Infektionskrankheiten und der Tumordiagnostik diskutiert.
