Roentgen diagnostics of duodenal ulcer when aerone is used as pharmacodynamic remedy

When clinical data for ulcer of the duodenum are present the authors use aerone as a pharmacomodificator in the contrast roentgen examination of the stomach and the duodenum. 60 patients have been examined. The aerone has taken effect in 10 or 15 minutes. The effect of the preparation has been mild and side effects have not been observed. A momentary transit of the contrast matter through the stomach and the duodenum facilitates the findings, especially in case of hypersecretion and pylorospasm. In 55% of the cases with findings the necessary direct roentgen symptoms for the diagnosis have been established after use of aerone. The methodics is easily carried out and can widely applied in dispensary and clinical practice. (author)
