Preparation of ruthenium-106 sources by means of electrolysis
Description
Radioactive ruthenium sources for nuclear spectroscopy were prepared by two methods involving electrochemical precipitation of Ru at the final stage from alkaline solu=0 tions of sodium ruthenate or ruthenium nitroso-chloride complexes. The former technique provides for activity of 0.01-0.25 Cu. The latter yields sources with activity up to 1.5 Cu which fit all the requirements of nuclear spectroscopy
