Survey on radon pollution in air environment of a mine

  • 1. East China Inst. of Technology, Fuzhou (China)

Description

From 2005 to 2008, the environmental concentration of radon exhalation rate in soil (rocks) and radon density in air of a mine, including workplace and inhabited area respectively has been measured with REM-III radon exhalation rate monitor and DHZM-I radon and its daughters continuous monitor. Suitable estimating pattern is used to estimate public annual effective dosage of radon. The surveyed data show that radon concentration at most monitoring points in the monitoring workplaces is lower than the limited value of national stipulation due to the enhancement of reclamation on radiation environment and public consciousness. In the inhabited area, no individual effective dose at monitoring points is found to exceed the limit value of national stipulation. (authors)
