A facile method for the preparation of W-doped VO2 films with lowered phase transition temperature, narrowed hysteresis loops and excellent cycle stability

Highlights: • W - doped VO2 films not only lower phase transition temperature and narrow hysteresis loops width, but also enhance cycle stability. • The phase tranisition temperature decreasing efficiency changes from 16.5 K/at.% to 16.9 K/at.% and the narrowing efficiency changes from 1.9 K/at.% to 2.2 K/at.% after 550 cycles.
