Is decarbonation possible?
Description
Both the disastrous effects of unmitigated climate change and the depletion of fossil fuels call for a transition to a decarbonized energy system. In my thesis, I ask whether and how a decarbonized and sustainable industrial civilization can be achieved, investigating aspects of its physical feasibility and political acceptability. Despite a common motivation to understand the conditions of the energy transition, each chapter is autonomous from the others
