Chemical interaction of tantalum pentaoxide with carbon
Creators
Description
Chemism of tantalum pentaoxide reduction by carbon is studied by high-temperature X-ray diffraction and thermal mass analysis. Change in phase composition for (Ta2O5:C=1:1 and 1:7) charges at continuous heating in helium up to 1730 K is presented. Reduction proceeds stepwise with dioxide tantalum formation. Lattice parameters of tetragonal cell for dioxide tantalum prepared by β-Ta2O5 reduction by carbon are determined
