The status of HTGR research and development in China

Description
This paper briefly describes the present energy situation and disucsses the main role of HTGR in the future energy system in China. It also summarizes the present status and progress of the HTGR R and D program which is being carried out in the INET and relevant institutions. The technical features of the 10 MW HTR Test Module which will be a joint project with Siemens-Interatom and KFA, Juelich (FRG) are also briefly introduced. (orig.)
