Investigation of interaction of alkali metal nitrates with double acid triphosphate CrNH4HP3O10 · H2O at elevated temperature

Description

Interaction of alkali metal nitrates with α-CrMH4HP3O1O · H2O double acid triphosphate at heating within 20-700 deg C temperature range was investigated using complex thermal analysis. It is determined, that CrCs2P3O10 anhydrous binary salt is the reaction product in CrNH4HP3O1O-CsNO3 system. Kinetics of salt formation is considered, and it is shown, that cesium ion entering in triphosphate structure results in irreversible variations of its crystal structure: being two-dimensional and laminated one it transforms into three-dimensional one. As opposed to analogous compounds of other alkali metals, cesium salt loses ability of back substitution of protons or cations of univalent metals for cesium
