Large N matrix mechanics and constrained classical systems

Creators

Description

In the sector of energy eigenstates which transform according to the trivial or adjoint representations, large N matrix mechanics becomes the type of constrained classical system recently studied by other authors. The 'large N classical solutions' are therefore interpreted as transition matrix elements among these energy levels, and an esup(iwt) type 'ansatz' is thus derived. (orig.)
