Space-time metric fluctuations and the cosmological constant problem
Description
The fluctuations of the space-time metric give rise to a term like Λ-term in the Einstein equation of gravitation theory. The energy of the vacuum has been shown to be of the order of 10-33g/cm3 which lies within the present observational (10-29g/cm3) limit. It raises the possibility of constructing a consistent model of Universe without considering the grand unified theories
