Resistance of cotton radiomutants and their initial forms to low positive temperatures
- 1. AN Uzbekskoj SSR, Tashkent. Inst. Ehksperimental'noj Biologii Rastenij
Description
The short-term effect of low temperature exerts an essential influence on the growth and development of cotton plants. However, different forms and radiation mutants show different resistance to this factor. At the same time it is shown that the mutants do not differ essentially from the initial forms by their reaction to this factor. The inhibition of plant growth is associated with a decrease in electric conductivity of cotyledonous plant leaves, the latter being revealed in plants with low resistance rather than in those with high resistance
