Generation of overtone radiation by a cw CO chemical laser

Description
The authors conducted an experimental investigation of chemical CO lasers that oscillate in the spectral region corresponding to an overtone of the CO molecule. We observed and identified four vibrational-rotational transitions in the 2.6-2.7-μm spectral band. We obtained laser radiation power levels of 4-10 W at flow rates of the CS2-N2O-O2 gas mixture in the range 10-14 g/s. 6 refs., 1 tab
