Calculation of unstabilized rotation damping in cylindrical flows

Description
One-dimentional method for calculating rotation damping in rotating unstabilized cylindrical flows, which can be used in all cases of application of rotating flows, in particular when intensifying heat exchange by rotation, as well as in cyclones of steam separators, is presented. It is shown that the accepted model of unstabilized motion, where the character of the velocity field is considered to be constant relative to the tube length, and only angular momentum decreases, is justified at gauge number l/d≤50. 3 refs.; 4 figs
