Support tubes for JLC vertex chambers and final quad. Magnets-design studies

  • 1. Hawaii Univ., Honolulu, HI (United States)

Description

A support tube has been designed to support elements at the interaction region consisting quadrupole magnets, vertex chambers, etc. The design is based on requirement for stable head-on collisions of nanometer beam spot size. Vibration characteristics for several designed tubes has been tested with finite element method. (author)
