Evidence for a distorted solar core rotating with a 12.4-day period
Description
The periodicity recently discovered in the solar Doppler velocity may be due to an Eddington-Sweet current driven in the photosphere by a distorted gravitational potential rotating rigidly with a synodic period of 12.81 +- 0.10 days (12.4 days sidereal). (author)
