Description

The Modular Modeling system (MMS) is an efficient, economic and flexible program for the transient analysis of nuclear and fossil-fired power plants. It is currently being used in the commercial nuclear power industry for the analysis of the control systems, component design, and integration and performance of pressurized water reactor (PWR) and boiling water reactor (BWR) plants. Its modular structure allows the simulation of the advanced reactor designs for next-generation plants. The libraries of the Dynamic Simulator for Nuclear Power Plants (DSNP) simulation language contain the component and property modules for advanced reactors. These modules are being modified for the MMS libraries and the new MMS version can be used for the engineering and safety analysis of the advanced light water reactor (LWR), inherently-safe liquid-metal reactor (LMR) and the modular high-temperature gas reactor (HTGR)
