Nickel effect on sinterin processes in the titanium-iron system. (Communication 1)

  • 1. AN Ukrainskoj SSR, Kiev. Inst. Problem Materialovedeniya

Description

Diffusion interaction was comparatively studied in the Ti-Fe-Ni and Ti-Fe systems. The temperature (1040 deg C) of the first ternary eutectic point in the Ti-Fe-Ni system is established by contact metting. It is shown that during sintering of Ti, Fe and Ni powder mixture pressed parts at temperatures above eutectic ones the pressed parts grow in volume depending in the sintering temperature and dispersivity of the used powders (the higher the dispersivity and sintering temperature, the lower the part growth)
