Description
Studying the structure of atoms is as simple as cooling them to just above absolute zero temperature and then trapping them with lasers. With these techniques, scientists could make the atomic clocks 100-1000 times more accurate, create new detectors that sense small changes in the strength of gravity, study the quantum mechanical properties of cold particles, such as Bose - Einstein condensation
