Inclusive sum rules and total cross-section increase
Description
Contributions into a inelastic cross-section due to of π- and K-mesons spectra are calculated on the basis of existing experimental data and phenomenologic formulae for an inclusive spectrum. The net increase of partial contributions Δsigmasub(K,π)=∫Δrho(s,x) dxdp from 24 to 1500 GeV/c is shown to be of the order of 4-5 mbarn, which coincides with the well-known increase of sigmasub(inel) in the same energy range. However, the energy dependence of sigmasub(inel) is somewhat different from that of Δsigmasub(K,π), which indicates that contributions from spectra of other particles (p,n,Λ) must be taken into account
