Temperature dependence of emission measure in solar x-ray plasmas. I. Nonflaring active regions

Description
Previous determination of the form of the emission measure distribution function phi (T) for solar active regions are examined. It is found that two analyses in particular are affected by low quality of either observational or atomic data. An alternative, ab initio method of analysis is discussed. (auth)
