Large bipolarons and superconductivity
Description
With a strong electron-lattice interaction, charge carriers pair as bipolarons. In analogy with large (multisite) polarons, large bipolarons move itinerantly. Such mobile-charge bosons can condense into a superconducting state. Distinctive properties characterize large bipolarons. (orig.)
