Determination of rare earth additives in steels by neutron activation analysis using Ge(Li) γ-spectrometry
Description
The application of neutron activation and Ge(Li) γ-spectrometry for the determination of La, Ce, Pr and Nd as additives in steels is demonstrated. La, Ce and Pr have been determined by direct γ-spectrometry after 2 days cooling, while the determination of Nd requires a simple radiochemical group separation of the rare earths. (author)
