Investigation of the Nova Cygni 1975= the V1500 Cyg at the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory

  • 1. AN SSSR, Crimea. Krymskaya Astrofizicheskaya Observatoriya

Description

The results of spectral observations of the V1500 Cyg in the range from 6700 to 11000A over the period from September 3 to November 11. 1975 are presented. The 168 and 48 A/mm spectra with the 1.25 m Crimean Observatory reflector have been obtained. OI (8446A) and HeI (10830A) emission line profiles for various dates are compared. The intensity of OI emission line is increasing considerably with time and the intensities of hydrogen lines (Pashen series) are decreasing at the same time. HeI (10830A) emission line has the same position as several absorption lines of atmospheric water. In HeI line profile six or seven components have been traced. Double expansion velocity of the Nova envelope in the time dependence is shown. The Nova infrared emission line profiles obtained doesn't contradict the envelope model based on the emission spectrWm in the visible range
