First results with the 4π INDRA detector

Description
The new π INDRA detector, mainly dedicated to the study of hot nuclear systems decaying by multifragmentation, is available for experiments since the beginning of 1993. After a short review of the planned physics program and a brief description of the characteristics of the detector, the first results are presented and compared with the predictions of theoretical calculations.
