Studies on the fundamental understanding of selective complexation of f elements (f-Kom). Subproject C. Final report

Description

The joint project 02NUK020 ''studies on the fundamental understanding of selective complexation of f elements (f-Kom)'' was performed as following-up of the project on fundamental studies on development and optimization of processes for separation of long-living radionuclides (partitioning). The project includes the working packages synthesis and screening tests, synthesis and spectroscopic studies, process studies and promotion of young researchers. The contribution was focused on the synthesis and characterization of low-valence uranium complexes based on N-, tacn-, mes- and anchored ligands and their activity with respect to small molecules. The project included experimental studies and DFT calculations.
