Proton microprobe for X-ray element analysis

Description

The local resolution obtainable with proton excitation was investigated, using the facilities of the ETH Zurich tandem accelerator, which produces a parallel proton beam of 50 to 100mm diameter. Resolutions down to ca 20μm were obtained. (F.Q.)
