Combining the simulation of hydrocyclone's working with the radiotracers experimental data

Description

This paper presents the simulation of solid particles selection in a hydrocyclone. The Fluent CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) software has been used for the simulation of the water-solid mixture flow in the hydrocyclone. This allows calculating the velocity, pressure, turbulence and solid distribution field in hydrocyclone, Finally the selectivity curves, as a basic characteristic of a hydrocyclone, was calculated and compare with the radiotracers experimental data.
