Description

Caltsuranoite K-Sr-variety found in one of uranium-molybdenum deposits is described. Two K-Sr-caltsuranoite generation are singled out. The earlier one forms radial-radiant spherolites composed by long-prismatic up to needle-shaped microcrystals growing up onto calcite and uranophane K-Sr-caltsuranoite of later generation in a form of a fine granular aggregate fills the space between the spherolites of the earlier generation. It has been found that K-Sr-caltsuranoite is formed in the paragenesis with calcite and uranophane. By the chemical analysis data the formula K-Sr-caltsuranoite is presented in the following form: 2[UO2The described K-Sr-caltsuranoite belongs to the group of the uranium hydroxides of the woelsendorphite type
