Description
The selectivity of a desired isotope in an enrichment process using AVLIS depends on several spectroscopic parameters. Therefore, a considerable interest exists for the evaluation of isotope shifts and determination of hyperfine structure constants. Determination of magnetic dipole and electric quadrupole constants requires the recording of the spectra at high resolution. In the present work we have carried out a least squares analysis for estimating the accuracy required for the calculation of hyperfine structure constants for high J transitions as encountered in elements like U. The results of the analysis are presented. (author)
