Method for determination of radionuclide concentrations in ground level air using the ASS-500 high volume sampler

  • 1. Central Lab. for Radiological Protection, Warsaw (Poland)

Description

A quantitative measurement method for monitoring the radioactive contamination of ground level air has been elaborated by the Central Laboratory for Radiological Protection. Collection of aerosols from an air volume of approximately 100,000 m3 permits accurate spectrometric measurement of the radiation of natural and artificial radionuclides in a wide range of concentrations, starting at 0.5 μBq/m3. 1 fig
