Description
Preparation of halogen-covalent derivatives of tetravalent vanadium of the (Csub(6)Fsub(5))sub(n)VClsub(4-n) (n=1-3) type by means of (C6F5)4V interaction with VCl4 and also by the exchange reaction of VCl4 and C6F5Li is described. Interaction of the compounds prepared with Na acetylacetonate is studied. It is shown that the V-C6F5 bond is easily splitted under the effect of compounds containing active hydrogen. Chlorine atoms can be substituted by cyclopentadienyl and acetylacetonate groups. Decomposition of (Csub(6)Hsub(5))VClsub(4-n) (n=1-4) in ethers is accompanied by the breakage of all the bonds of V-C6F5 and reduction of the central atom. Stability of the compounds increases with the increase of the number of pentafluorophenyl groups in the molecules
