Pre-asymptotic effects in hadron-hadron large angle scattering
- 1. Joint Inst. for Nuclear Research, Dubna (USSR)
Description
Non-automodel corrections of the first and second orders to hadron-hadron scattering amplitudes are obtained in the framework of the Logunov-Tavkhelidze quasipotential approach. The analysis performed shows, that the corrections of lower orders are closely connected with long range interaction, which makes possible to establish the relation of the pre-asymptotic behaviour of differential cross sections of large angle scattering with asymptotics of differential cross sections of small angle scattering. The deviations from quark count rules observed in the π+-p-, pp-and pn-scattering and which differ from polarization zero may be interpreted as effects of preasymptotic nature. The corrections to the main asymptotic term taken into account allow to improve the agreement of theoretical curves with the experiment, which testifies to self-consistency of the model. The corrections in the pre-asymptotic field can be compared with the main term up to the incident particle pulse psub(ls) approximately 40 GeV/c. This results in considerable deviation from the quark coUnt rules at these energies
