Method for partitioning lanthanum and neodymium from mixtures of their chlorides
Description
The method is applicable in the chemical industry for partitioning and purification of rare earth elements. It ensures a high partition factor at room temperature and a single procedure of precipitation. The method is accomplished in the following way: preparation of water solution of di-(2-ethylhexyl)-phosphoric acid by destruction of an emulsion, received by stirring of 0.013-0.032 M hydrochloric acid and 0.25-0.3 M solution of di-(2-ethylhexyl)-phosphoric acid in kerosene (in ratio 45-50:1) for 20-30 min by rate of 100-150 min-; addition of solution of La+Ne trichloride; precipitation at room temperature for 8 to 10 h; filtration of Ne-precipitate and washing with distilled water. 1 cl
