Relativized Microscopical model for collisions of atomic nuclei with account for nucleon-nucleon potentials

Description
A relativistic microscopical model is proposed for description of nucleus-nucleus collisions with account for intranucleon forces. The model incorporates the main processes taking place in the collision process: the motion of the Lorentz-contracted nuclei before the collision, formation of the compound system, propagation of the excitation in the nuclear matter and the system decomposition into fragments, including pions and composite nuclei The method is applied to calculation of the following colllisions: 20Ne(800 MeV/nucleon)+20Ne, 40Ar(800 MeV/nucleon)+40Ar, α(4 GeV/nucleon)+208Pb. The model is reproducing reasonably the experimental data on the double-differential inclusive cross sections for production of pions, protons, deuterons. Basing upon the calculations performed, estimates are obtained for compression of the nuclear matter depending on the ratio of masses of the nuclei colliding. Collective excitations of the type of shock waves are investigated
