Nuclear Calculations for the Repair Concept 'Block Exchange DIDO'

[Automatisch extrahiert und übersetzt] Für den geplanten Umbau des Jülicher Forschungsreaktors FRJ-2 (DIDO) wurden neutronenphysikalische Berechnungen durchgeführt. Insbesondere wurde untersucht, welche Auswirkungen der Austausch des Graphitreflektors durch Schwerwasser bei gleichzeitiger Vergrößerung des Reaktortanks auf die Reaktivität des Systems hat und wie der Übergang von jetzt radialen zu tangential angeordneten Strahlrohren die für Experimente nutzbaren Neutronen beeinflusst. Die Berechnungen zeigen, dass der Austausch des Reflektors die Systemreaktivität und den globalen Neutronenfluss nur marginal verändert. Die Ausbeute an thermischen Neutronen scheint durch die tangentialen Strahlrohre geringfügig erhöht zu werden, zusätzlich wird der störende Pegel schneller Neutronen (E>0.1 MeV) auf ca. ein Drittel des jetzigen Wertes verringert.Files
