Description

A new extrapolation chamber is described, which is used as absolute standard for the determination of the absorbed beta radiation dose. The construction simulates a semi-infinite phantom and the absorbed dose to tissue was determined in tissue equivalent material. With a new system of concentric collecting electrodes it is possible to obtain the absorbed dose at the centre of the electrodes, which is extrapolated from five values of the surface of the collecting electrodes.
